Current Service Areas

Currently our food scraps pickup service area includes most towns in DuPage and Will County in Illinois. If you want us to include your neighborhood or town, please reach out.  We're always adding new locations and service areas and hope to accommodate more soon.

Food Scraps Pickup Acceptable Items

All Plant Matter

If it used to grow in the ground, it's probably acceptable.  Lettuce leaves, stems, seeds, pits, husks & shells are just fine to go in the bucket or bin.  Apple cores, banana peels, peach pits, avocado pits and skin, coconut husks, potato peels, orange peels, etc, can all go in the bucket or bin.

Bread and Baked Goods

Have some moldy bread or a half eaten sandwich?  Even cooked or frozen foods.  Do a freezer clean out and you can just toss it in the bucket or bin.

Bones leftover from cooking

Bones are just fine for putting into the bucket or bin.  Yes, even fish bones.  They'll break down, and if they still have a little meat on them, it's okay.

Egg Shells

These break down, too, so feel free to put your egg shells in the bucket.

Coffee and Tea

Both are just fine (along with filters), just be sure to remove any staples from tea bags if possible

Paper Products

Mop up kitchen counters or spills with paper towels or napkins and then you can just pop them in the bucket or bin, too, as long as no chemical cleaning agents were used.
